Nintendo will launch its first high definition video game console, Wii U, in Australia on November 30 and in the lead up, has revealed the first batch of titles that will be available on day one.

From November 30, Aussie gamers can buy a Nintendo Wii U console in either a “Basic” pack, which includes a white Wii U console with 8GB of onboard storage, or a “Premium” pack which contains a black Wii U console, 32GB of onboard storage, a set of docks and cradles, Nintendo Land game disc, and access to “Nintendo Network Premium” – a loyalty program for buying games online.

We can reveal the full list of day one launch titles in Australia – an impressive 21 games – which follows below;

  • New Super Mario Bros. U
  • Nintendo Land
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops II
  • Zombi U
  • Batman Arkham City: Armoured Edition
  • Assassin’s Creed III
  • Mass Effect 3: Special Edition
  • Marvel Avengers: The Battle for Earth
  • FIFA 13
  • RabbidsLand
  • Your Shape: Fitness Evolved
  • Darksiders II
  • Sports Connection
  • Just Dance 4
  • Scribblenauts Unlimited
  • Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (Limited Edition)
  • Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
  • Transformers Prime
  • 007 Legends
  • Tekken tag Tournament 2
  • Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper

There will also be a selection of Nintendo eShop-exclusive games, available only via download on the Wii U console itself. We’re still chasing up a confirmed list for the Australian eShop.

Over 50 Wii U games will be launched by the end of March 31, 2012, making it one of the most robust video game console launches in history. Games that will launch in this “launch window” include Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends and LEGO City: Undercover — the latter being a launch title in the US and shouldn’t be too far off. Another high profile game awaiting Australian confirmation is Aliens: Colonial Marines, which is expected to launch across PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles – and maybe Wii U – on February 12, 2013.
