Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D Swinging onto Nintendo 3DS in May
Following its reveal in a special Valentines Day Nintendo Direct last month, the release date for Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D has been locked in for May 24.
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is an enhanced 3D version of the critically acclaimed Nintendo Wii platformer Donkey Kong Country Returns.
Originally developed by US based Retro Studios, the game was released in 2010 and received wildly positive reviews from critics and fans alike.
It was revealed earlier last week that Monster Games – who developed Pilotwings Resort for 3DS – would be handling the enhanced port of the smash-hit Wii side-scrolling platformer rather than Retro Studios, who is currently working on an unannounced new project.
While Nintendo haven’t revealed much else regarding Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, due to it being no different from the Wii version side from the newly adapted 3D features, the company have released a new picture to support the release of the game.
The picture in question shows a full-grown gorilla alongside an infant gorilla, both of whom resembling Donkey and Diddy, playing a 3DSXL console. Nintendo probably wanted to show their break through revelation of another Darwinism similarity both man and primeape share.
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will is scheduled for release May 24 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.
While you wait, enjoy the image mentioned above and try to imagine these two in a spiffy red tie and hat.
