EA Confirms Need for Speed: Most Wanted for Wii U
EA has officially confirmed Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be heading to Nintendo’s first high definition console, Wii U.
In an official statement handed to Aussie-Gamer, the publisher said, “(in) 2013, Nintendo fans will be able to experience what it means to be Most Wanted amongst their friends on the Wii U”
Need for Speed: Most Wanted has been rumoured to be coming to Wii U for months, and speculation fired up again recently with the game being added to the console’s European release schedule via Nintendo’s latest earning’s report.
With some deep social features that allow you to connect with your friends in-game, meet up for challenges and even compete against each others race and jump high-scores, Need for Speed: Most Wanted seems like a shoe-in for the Wii U.
How the game’s online connectivity will work with Wii U is yet to be determined, since at time of writing we still know very little regarding Nintendo’s online plans for Wii U. But, the sheer fact Need for Speed: Most Wanted is heading to the console makes us excited nonetheless.

We are very excited to deliver Need for Speed Most Wanted on more platforms and to more gamers. Starting Oct 30, Most Wanted will be available on X360, PS3, PS Vita, Android and iOS. Then in 2013, Nintendo fans will be able to experience what it means to be Most Wanted amongst their friends on the Wii U
Need for Speed: Most Wanted is the second Need for Speed game developed by Burnout series creators, Criterion Games. Featuring a totally expansive open-world city to drive though, Need for Speed: Most Wanted gives players absolute freedom to where and how they drive.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted is out later this week in Australia. It will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on November 1. The game will be coming to the Wii U sometime in 2013.
