Microsoft have announced a new dashboard update for the Xbox 360, and it wants your help testing it.

The company are offering some users the chance to download the beta version of the dashboard before it goes public. Your task will be to use the dashboard and allow Microsoft to collect debug data about errors and backend processes.

Select dashboard features available during the program include:

  • New design for integrated Kinect and controller navigation
  • New Beacons to play online with friends
  • Deeper Facebook integration
  • New Cloud Storage for Game Saves and Xbox LIVE Profile

Microsoft says that other features may become available during the beta trial period. You can sign up for the beta trial by heading over to the registration page here.
