Japanese Magazine Reveals New Species for Pokémon X, Y
Being somewhat a tradition, leaked scans for this months issues of Japanese manga magazine CoroCoro have revealed an all new Pokémon for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS games Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
Early translations report the Pokémon in question, named Ninfia, is an all-new Eevee evolution. However its type and evolution method remain a mystery. This of course isn’t confirmed, though judging by the scans (scroll below the article for a glimpse) it’s highly suggested Ninfia is the eighth Eevee evolution.
Until this latest issue of CoroCoro lands into the hands of Japanese readers, or until the weekly TV show Pokémon Smash airs this coming Sunday in Japan (the show had teased last Sunday a huge reveal on its next show) the legions of Pokéfans worldwide are left to speculate what Ninfia’s type – and to a lesser extent, it’s evolution method – could possibly be.
We here at Aussie-Gamer speculate it to be either a Normal or Dragon type, based on the plainness of Ninfia’s design, the interesting cream/pink/blue used on the tips of the ribbon-like aspects of its body and most notably the teeth seen in the second image. Small, sharp pointy fangs usually reserved for more… intimidating species.
Of course, that all could be just a load of silliness. Who knows!
Elsewhere in the same issue of CoroCoro a new Pokémon game for Nintendo Wii U was revealed, Pokémon Scramble U. The game is the third entry in the Pokémon Rumble series and will feature all current 649 Pokémon, allow up to four players and feature 100 Pokémon at a time. It is set for release on the Japanese eShop later this year.
What do you guys think about the all-new Eevee evolution, Ninfia? Like the idea of Game Freak adding more evolutions? And most importantly, what to you think its type is? Let us know below!
