This year is all about Metal Gear Solid. The HD collection was recently released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Snake Eater 3D is on it’s way soon for Nintendo 3DS, and now there’s indications that an all new title in the series is starting production.
The staffing call was posted on Konami’s official website for the next Metal Gear game. The website also points out that Kojima Productions will be at the upcoming Game Developers Conference where prospective employees can find out more information about the studio.
The next Metal Gear game will be “targeted for high-end consoles and PC” and will run on the next-generation video game engine technology; Kojima Productions own “FOX Engine”. The term “next generation” is thrown around quite a bit on the job listing page, but this could be referring to software development technology; not necessarily the next video game console generation.
Considering the fact that the studio is hiring a whole new team for the project, it’s probably too early to be expecting any announcements of what the game will eventuate into in the short to mid-term. We’ll keep an eye out though!
Oh, and this image was found in the area that says “Do Not Click Here!”. We clicked. Woops.
