A Japanese magazine has said to be on the look out for a “big surprise” in the world of Pokemon next month.

The mega-franchise will be holding a booth at Jump Festa in Tokyo next month and will apparently be host to something big. A new game announcement, perhaps?

Fans of the series are eagerly awaiting news of the next generation of Pokemon RPG’s, following the most recent release of Pokemon Black and White Versions. Of course, the “surprise” could also be a downloadable Pokemon for those games, or some other announcement anyone has yet to anticipate.

Interestingly, Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime recently said there are unannounced games on the horizon that will be revealed in the “coming months”. Could this be an allusion to a new Pokemon game? Time, and maybe some internet rumours, will tell.
