Nintendo are finally launching the Nintendo 3DS console in the China region in September, and to celebrate the launch have announced two new colours for the country.

The new colours are Cerulean Blue and Shimmer Pink and will be region locked to China, complete with Traditional Chinese language support.

China will also be seeing the simultaneous launch of the Nintendo 3DS XL – Nintendo’s follow up console with the same specifications albiet with 90% larger screens. These will be available in White and Blue variations and, unlike the Japanese carton, will include a power adapter.

Our soon-to-be Chinese gaming opponents will have a pretty fantastic selection of games to choose from on day one – The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Nintendogs+Cats and Resident Evil: Revelations round out the robust lineup.

Nintendo suggest China-based gamers keep an eye out for local pricing.
