SquareEnix, Disney and Nintendo are teaming up to release a special edition Nintendo 3DS console styled in honor of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.

Kingdom Hearts will be released in Japan on March 29, 2012. A limited edition was also announced which comes packaged with a new AR Card to be used within the game. Pricing for the new Nintendo 3DS hardware was not announced, so it’s unclear if the console will be sold by itself or if it will come with the game (which is most likely).

The console itself is quite sexy, ruined only by the obligatory Disney copyright which makes it look like a McHappy Meal toy, in a way. What do you think of the new design?
