Nintendo Wii U is Hiding a Very Surprising Secret, Says Capcom Developer

When Nintendo return to E3 this year to show off the final version of Wii U, they’ll be unveiling an improved version with some surprising new features.

That is, if Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono is to be believed. Ono recently spoke to website 3DJuegos and dropped an interesting nugget of information, though being careful not to anger what he calls “Nintendo’s murderers”.

“What we saw last E3 is not a reflection of everything this console is able to offer. We (Capcom) have been trying development kits and some of its new characteristics will improve its possibilities. It isn’t something like Kinect or other similar accessories, it’s something different.

“I can’t tell you more about it because, if I do, Nintendo will send murderers to kill me,” he laughed (hopefully). “Wii U will be a console with so many and unique possibilities that it will be different to show them on the box they are going to sell it in, or what can be seen published by magazines or other mediums.”

Capcom have probably had the most time with the Wii U development kits as they currently have a healthy relationship with Nintendo, developing the sure-to-be extremely popular Monster Hunter 4 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.

But what could this new feature be? It’s time to speculate. 3D images is indeed difficult to publish on paper, but “other mediums”? Maybe it’s not 3DS style 3D, then. Voice control? Eye tracking? Coffee machine? Nintendo have a track record of delivering products that no one has really invented in the consumer space before, such as motion control with Wii – maybe it’s safer to wait and see.

It’s the wii vitality sensor reimagined. That kinda fell flat so Nintendo has found a way to incorporate that into the new games.

That would be cool, however I’m not so sure that’s it, only because of the comment about being hard to show on paper/the box. I mean, yeah – if the game got harder when you’re more stressed, that’s kinda hard to point out, but not impossibly hard like 3D images…

I hope so, it’d be cool if how you felt could affect gameplay. I’m thinking action RPGs.
