Nintendo Wii U to get Assassins Creed Revelations Sequel

For those planning on holding off buying Assassins Creed: Revelations in anticipation of playing it on the Wii U when it launches next year, you need not bother! Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot has revealed Wii U will be getting a different game.

The game will be, chronologically, the next game in the series. Sadly, he didn’t elaborate (even in Swedish), but it’s good news for Creed fans. That is, cashed up Creed fans who want two doses of the free-roaming game next year.

For those living under that apparently massive rock, the Nintendo Wii U is the next console from the makers of Wii and will launch in 2012. It features full high definition graphics, better online features and a large touchscreen embedded into the controller.

Last week it was revealed that previously announced Assassins Creed: Lost Legacy for Nintendo 3DS was the inspiration for Revelations, which will launch at the beginning of 2012. A 3DS title is still in the works, but will feature a different story line.
