Thanks to Japanese CoroCoro Magazine, new details have emerged about upcoming Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2, the two new Pokemon sequels coming to Nintendo DS.

The game is still set in the Unova region, but will feature new locations, trainers, gym leaders and even a new rival. It’s story takes place two years after the events of Black and White – the Unova region has undergone major changes and cities and towns will be different than in the first games.

One of the new locations is called Hiougi City, and two new gym leaders were revealed; one who specialises in Poison type Pokemon, the other a Water type. Furthermore, the games will feature 300 Pokemon in the Unova Pokedex – up from the 155 in the original games.

Finally, the two legendary Pokemon were given a new move; Black Kyurem will know Freeze Shock and White Kyurem will know Ice Burn. The new pair of games will be released in Japan this June, and a later release date is planned for the rest of the world.
