Skype Arrives on PlayStation Vita, Sales Still Suffering
In the past few days Skype, the popular text and video messenger, has rolled out on the Sony PlayStation Vita.
The free app (yes, free) allows for voice and video calls and can run on 3G or WiFi models. Also, if you leave Skype running whilst you go to play a game, notifications will be pushed to you when you receive a new call. Sorta nifty.
Be afraid though! If you don’t have 9MB free on one of those ever-so-expensive PS Vita memory cards, then you won’t be able to get the app.
In other news, the sales for the PS Vita are still down. In the last week, the 3DS outsold the PS Vita at a ratio of more than 10:1 with the 3DS selling 84, 760 units and the PS Vita a mere 8, 206 units.
The Nintendo 3DS also took out 8 of the top 10 games with the 10th spot being taken by a DS game. The PS Vita didn’t manage to land any software on the top 20 list.
